Infection Controlled
Wherever you work within the healthcare sector - theatres, labs, wards, in fact all departments, this product is highly relevant to you. It's the ultimate non-hazardous cleaner & disinfector which destroys:

Clostridium difficile spores up to 4 weeks old
MRSA
Tuberculosis
Hepatitis B & C
Bird Flu
HIV
Polio
Norovirus
in under 5 minutes!
Please read on for more amazing facts including 10 reasons why Virusolve+ is the optimum choice for cleansing disinfectants...

Indepently Proven
Virusolve+ has been independently proven to destroy bacteria, viruses, fungi & spores. Notice we say 'destroy' and not 'inactivate.' That's because Virusolve+ is also the only product on the market that actually penetrates the membranes and renders the cells incapable of replication. So from the moment you use it, you can rest assured that micro-organisms are never coming back!

In addition to destroying MRSA, Virusolve+ is highly effective against Clostridium difficile spores, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B & C, Bird Flu (H5N1), HIV, Polio and Norovirus.
A cost-effective antimicrobial cleaner, sanitiser and disinfectant -
all in one!

Unlike most other products, Virusolve+ doesn't require surface cleaning. It has been clinically proven to destroy almost all microbials in clean and dirty conditions - removing the additional cost, time and effort usually associated with pre-disinfection cleaning. It also has a long shelf life of two years, further reducing waste.

Odourless, colourless and non-hazardous
Despite being lethal to micro-organisms, Virusolve+ is easy to handle, bio-degradable and safe to use. Either as a wipe, a concentrate or a ready-to-use solution, Virusolve+ is also non-toxic, odourless and colourless. However, the concentrated formula is now available in 3 great fragrances and colours: pine, lavender & lemon. Unlike many chlorine or alcohol or Phenol-based disinfectants, it is non-corrosive to equipment too. In fact, Virusolve+ can be used to treat almost any surface not affected by water, including fabrics, rubbers and plastics.

Create an antimicrobial barrier anywhere

All in all, this makes Virusolve+ supremely versatile. It can be used as a non-rinse disinfectant on walls, floors, ceilings and fittings, as a pre-cleaner for medical and surgical instruments, and as a cleaner for body fluid spillages - simply, inexpensively and safely.

Independently proven performance

Manufactured within the U.K., Virusolve+ has also undergone rigorous testing at Europe's leading laboratories, including: The Hospital Infection Research Laboratory in Birmingham, The Texcell Laboratory (Part of Institute Pasteur®), Paris, and the UK Health Protection Agency. Virusolve+ is CE Marked (CE 0120). Hence all of the claims have been audited and verified on behalf of the UK regulator MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency).

Virusolve+ has been tested and passed in accordance with BS 6471, BS 7424, BS 6905, EN 1275, EN1276, EN 13727, EN 13697, EN 14347, EN 14348, EN 14476 and AFNOR procedures.

Advice On Chemical Spills

Do you operate a washer disinfector in your department, or do you use disinfectants or other hazardous chemicals such as formalin or xylene?

If there was a spillage, would you and all your staff know how to deal with it quickly and safely?

The Cairn Chemical Spill Station can help you:

  • Save Time - Deal with the spill quickly and efficiently
  • Save Money - Minimise disruption in your department
  • Prevent Serious Injury - Reduce chemical exposure

As you're probably aware, chemical spills can occur for a variety of uncontrollable reasons from human error to mechanical breakdown. If this happens, it immediately puts your staff and patients at risk, can cause a temporary closure of your department and a loss of service delivery. The knock-on effect of this could be felt right across your trust.

Regulations
Government issued 'Control of Substances Hazardous to Health' Regulations (COSHH) state that your hospital must have effective protection in place for all those at risk from chemical use. Part of this is the ability to respond should you have a chemical spill. If not adhered to, your staff could be injured, legal proceedings may be taken against your hospital and in extreme cases, fines could be imposed.

2 Formats to Suit Your Needs
Our spill station has been developed in close conjunction with leading healthcare providers and Health & Safety Officers and is the safest and most comprehensive spill station on the market. It comes in two different formats to meet the requirements of varying working areas - a mobile version and a static version. Both formats contain exactly the same contents.

1. Mobile Spill Station
The mobile spill station is wall mountable, but can be removed and carried short distances. This is useful if you want to cover several departments that are fairly close together e.g. an endoscopy suite close to Outpatients or a theatre complex.

2. Static Spill Station
The static spill station is permanently mounted on a wall, close to (but outside of) the location to be served. This is particularly useful for larger endoscopy suites or laboratories.

  • Highly visible - The station forms an evacuation point and ensures it can be found quickly.
  • Information where it's needed - The front compartment contains instructions and procedures, warning signs, hazard barrier tape, report forms.
  • Easy to use - Inside, the equipment is organised into 'quick bags' to help you reach things quickly and in the correct order, which means a faster response.
  • Personal Protective Equipment - A full set of PPE for each person. All items are selected for ease of use, high quality and low maintenance.
  • T-mop technology - Super-absorbent T-mops rapidly absorb and lock the liquid before it has time to spread or evaporate. It also allows you to work at a safe distance from the hazard without bending or kneeling.
  • Waste disposal - Heavy duty waste disposal bags are included with labels to ensure waste is removed through correct routes.

Deal With Theatre Spills

Would you like to improve the efficiency of your theatres, treat more patients in less time and have a safer and more pleasant working environment? With that in mind, we've developed a cost-effective range of products specifically for this purpose - a combination of super-absorbent mats and cost-effective disposable mops, the 'Operating Room Spillage (ORS) System.'

Slips, trips and financial pitfalls...
Slippery wet floors and trailing tubes from suction systems can be a dangerous hazard to staff, not to mention the cost of using tens of inco pads or the vastly more expensive suction systems. Cleaning up after a procedure also takes time and our products have been designed to:

  • Save you time - reduce the clean up time between cases
  • Save you money - a cost effective way of dealing with spills
  • Improve your working environment - reduce the risk of slips, trips and falls
T-mat, T-pad, T-mop, Z-mop

The ORS System consists of:

  • T-mat: Super-absorbent, gelling polymer based mats that will absorb up to 8 litres of water or 4 litres of saline. Place on floor to trap liquids and prevent spreading, then simply lift and dispose of as clinical waste.
  • T-mat sterile: Same as above, only sterile. Ideal for putting under or directly on the patient to trap fluids. Very popular in gynae and orthopaedics and will absorb 6 litres of water or 2 litres of saline.
  • T-mops: Super-absorbent, gelling polymer based mops that will handle 3.2 litres of water and 1 litre of saline. It gels into a solid waste. Can get into hard to reach areas.
  • T-pads: Used to dry the area.
  • Z-mops: Made with a type of lace and looped for strength. Great for drying the floor off after a wash down to reduce turnaround time. Disposable, but can also be laundered.
