Vascular surgery, nursing and science meeting

If you are involved in vascular surgery, nursing or science then make sure and book yourself a place at The Vascular Societies’ Annual Scientific Meeting.

Taking place from the 28th to 30th November 2018 at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow, the meeting has been organised by The Vascular Society, the Society of Vascular Nurses and the Society for Vascular Technology.

With a headline theme of “Evidence for Excellence”, the event will consider the challenges and controversies in vascular surgery and look at the evidence behind current practice.

As part of the programme, there will be specialist sessions for vascular surgeons, vascular nurses and vascular scientists.

With topics as diverse as ‘Reducing neurological complications during TEVAR’ and ‘The evidence base for deep vein stenting’, the meeting will highlight the latest developments and thinking in vascular education and research.

For those training in vascular surgery, there will also be an ‘Introduction to Vascular Surgery Skills Course’ and a talk by Ms. Sophie Renton, a Consultant Vascular Surgeon with Northwick Park Hospital on her life as a vascular surgeon.

In addition to speakers and training sessions, there will also be oral and poster abstract presentations, workshops, company symposia and access to an industry exhibition.

There will also be an exciting social programme, including a Welcome Reception for networking with a glass of wine and canapes, and The Vascular Societies’ Annual Dinner with a 3-course meal and live music.
